WHO WE ARE

The Civil Society Movement against Tuberculosis Sierra Leone (CISMAT-SL) is an independent nonprofit making Civil Society Organizations founded in 2009, and registered as a National Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in 2010. The foundation of CISMAT-SL was inspired by former TB patients to undertake innovative tasks to improve health care system and access to TB services.

The Civil Society Movement against Tuberculosis is working across the sixteen (16) districts of Sierra Leone through Community civil Society membership Organizations working to promote and protect the health rights of Sierra Leonean.

As a leading network and NGO on Tuberculosis (TB), the Organizations works in different context with the aim to advocate and amplify the voices of TB patients and other co-morbidities to demand rights and protection related issues, and empower them to access better health services.
